Philippe Mars, père de famille divorcé et cadre dans une entreprise d’informatique, se sent à la fois coincé dans la routine métro-boulot-dodo et dépassé par le monde qui l’entoure: que ce soit sa fille ainée exagérément ambitieuse, son fils cadet qui a décidé de devenir végétarien, son ex-femme journaliste sur une télé d’info, son chat, sa sœur artiste peintre, son vieux voisin resté coincé dans les années Giscard, ses parents morts dans un accident de voiture, ou son patron faussement cool… tous ont l’air de s’être ligués pour lui compliquer la vie. Et lorsque débarque Jérôme, un collègue de travail à la folie contagieuse, la vie de Philippe va devenir définitivement ingérable.

Philippe Mars is a reasonable man in an unreasonable world. He’s trying to be a good father, a kind ex-husband, a nice colleague, an understanding sibling… But the planets have not been exactly aligned in his favor lately. With his son turning into a hardcore vegan, his daughter into a pathological overachiever and his sister selling oversized paintings of their naked parents, it seems to our ever-so prudent Philippe that everyone around him is starting to behave more and more erratically… When his colleague (who also accidentally tried to chop off his ear in a fit of misplaced anger) moves into Philippe’s apartment, things start to go from bad to insane for our hero.
